Most of the staining in house fixtures comes from
Iron,
Hardness,
Sulphur, Manganese or high levels of
Tannin in the source water. Over time these can completely destroy a dishwasher, hot water tank, coffee maker, toilets, bathtubs, faucets, showerheads and dishware. Often the stains will adhere to the surfaces of toilets and bathtubs making them virtually impossible to clean.
Staining is most prevalent in drilled or shore wells. A water test will provide the necessary information to recommend the correct treatment equipment. Treating the water to remove the staining elements can save you money in replacement costs to household fixtures and appliances. |
