Using the Palintest DPD Method, the Palintest Chlorometer 1000 measures the level of chlorine disinfectant in drinking water distribution and other low-level chlorine residual applications. It uses the world standard DPD test. In the field of water management and control, the determination of chlorine residual ranks supreme. The Palintest Chlorometer 1000 offers water utilities a new dimension in chlorine testing. Used in conjunction with the Palintest DPD method, it provides a level of simplicity and accuracy unrivalled in a portable hand-held instrument. The Chlorometer 1000 measures the level of chlorine disinfectant in cooling systems water and in chlorinated solutions used to clean food and beverage equipment. It is ideal for every application. The instrument is equally suitable for bench use in water treatment plants and works laboratories, or for field use by sampling officers and water quality inspectors. For maximum portability, the Chlorometer is supplied in a soft carrying pouch with a belt loop. It is complete with test tubes, DPD tablets and full operating instructions. Using the Chlorometer could not be simpler - just place the sample tube in the meter and press the ON key. The instrument has automatic blank recognition and zero setting. The zero can be held in memory from test to test or reset each time a chlorine reading is taken. The Chlorometer 1000 is supplied with test certificate confirming conformance with calibration standards. Certified check standards are available as an optional extra. A recertification service is available to assist customers in meeting DWI guidelines and internal quality assurance procedures.
